Recap|2025 Roaming in Autumn: The Enchanting Tales of SAI
Join the Folk Fun, Make Memories to Last
November in Shenzhen brings fading summer heat and clear blue skies, making it the perfect season for autumn outings. On November 8, 2025, the Class of 2025 undergraduate freshmen from School of Artificial Intelligence visited Splendid China with professors. It was a folk culture adventure that created unforgettable youth memories.
This event skillfully built bridges for cross-class communication, breaking down barriers so that students could chat freely and strengthen friendships. It also created opportunities for teacher-student interaction, bringing everyone closer together. Through a variety of engaging activities, students gained a profound appreciation for the unique charm of ethnic cultures.
Fun Activities, Non-Stop Excitement
The fun lasted from afternoon till evening, with three main parts: team dragon boat racing, creative photos at folk spots, and a special Mongolian yurt dinner followed by a talent show. Each part was exciting, together creating a joyful and harmonious picture.
All Set? Let's Go!
Part 1 Dragon Boat Race
With the help from professional coaches, all teams gathered at Green Lake for intense dragon boat races. Two boats at a time shot forward like arrows, while the other teams cheered loudly from the shore. Despite the blazing sun overhead, the students' enthusiasm remained undiminished. Everyone paddled hard towards the finish line. Oars sliced through the water, sending sparkling spray into the air, mingling with sweat and reflecting the radiant glow of youth under the sun.
After several intense rounds, Group 5, led by Assistant Professor WANG Jie, stood out with great teamwork and strength, taking first place and showcasing extraordinary team spirit.

Part 2 Creative Group Photos at Folk Attractions
The cultural village was full of folk culture treasures. Here, each group turned into creative master, competing for the best group photo to crown the "King of Creativity"! Students strolled through the cultural village, exploring every corner. The unique buildings, green plants, and lovely music all became part of our happy memories. The frantic rush to set timers for group photos and the shared smiles after striking quirky poses brought everyone closer together, filling the air with laughter and joy.

Activity Feedback
SAI Freshman: WANG Zimeng
This event was so much more fun than I expected! The venue was great, and my teammates were awesome - really easy to get along with and always up for anything. It was the perfect chance to relax and enjoy nature, and I made a lot of genuine, fun friends (Best G4!!!)
SAI Freshman: WU Sizhe
This SAI autumn outing was really meaningful: dragon boat racing, creative photos, dinner and show - we had great chats with professors about studies and life, and shared lots of laughs with classmates. All those creative group photos captured everyone's biggest smiles. Can't wait for the next SAI outing!
SAI Freshman: JIN Longfei
During the creative photo session, even though the sun was strong, no one in our group slacked off. Instead, everyone pitched in with ideas for the backgrounds and poses, which really touched me. Our last photo was on a bench by the lake. We sat in a row, facing the sun, with our shadows falling behind us. In that moment when the picture was taken, everything went quiet - it was the most beautiful moment for me.
